QuickBooks integration
Connect QuickBooks as a downstream accounting destination. Zyelra remains the books of record. Production QuickBooks is blocked until verified.
Source of truth
Zyelra’s general ledger is canonical. QuickBooks receives outbound accounting objects (such as journals and, where implemented, vendors/bills) and can be compared in reconciliation. Changes in QuickBooks do not silently overwrite Zyelra.
What each system owns
- Zyelra — operational books of record (CoA, journals, AP/AR, operating projections)
- QuickBooks — downstream accounting destination for outbound sync and external reporting
- Payment providers — money movement rails (not the Zyelra ledger)
Connect (when available)
- Step 1In Zyelra
Open Accounting software
Go to Finance → Accounting software (accounting_integrations.view). Manage actions need accounting_integrations.manage.
- Step 2In Zyelra
Authorize QuickBooks
Start Connect / authorize when the provider card offers it. Complete OAuth with the Intuit company you intend to use (typically sandbox until production is enabled).
- Step 3In Zyelra
Review mappings and sync
Map accounts as prompted. Follow sync status and reconciliation surfaces. Pause/resume and retries exist for operations maturity — use them when sync health shows issues.
When sync looks wrong
- Confirm you are not expecting production QBO while production remains BLOCKED
- Complete account mappings before diagnosing missing journals
- Use Finance → Reconciliation; fix Zyelra first
- See QuickBooks troubleshooting for symptom → cause → solution
Not supported (do not expect)
- Sales Invoice sync as a first-class SoT (intentionally unsupported)
- Customer Payment / AR payment sync as supported production capability
- Intuit Batch API
- Provider reverse_journal_entry API (Zyelra uses compensating/reversal workflows on its side)
- Full multicurrency / TaxCode engine as a verified product claim
- QuickBooks becoming Zyelra’s operational database
- QBO-13 / Batch-oriented expansions documented as available
Next step
Ledger, collections, operating balances, AP, disbursements, and QuickBooks.
