Operations task troubleshooting

Fix missing housekeeping, assignment gaps, reopen/re-clean confusion, inspection bridges, and AP bill creation from maintenance.

Problem

Cleaning or maintenance work is missing after checkout, tasks sit unassigned, reopen fails, inspection does not create work, or Create bill is missing.

Cause

  • Expecting a separate HousekeepingTask/WorkOrder product instead of OperationalTask
  • My Work / property filters hiding the queue
  • Missing tasks.assign / tasks.complete / tasks.create permissions
  • Checkout cleaning not created because settings/automations did not fire (NEEDS VERIFICATION per agency config)
  • Create bill requires ap.manage and a vendor on the maintenance task
  • Inspection and OperationalTask remain separate until Create operations task is used

Solution

  • Open Tasks & Operations → Everyone / Unassigned and clear property filters
  • Confirm stay detail Tasks & Operations card and unit readiness
  • Use reopen / re-clean on completed cleaning when another pass is required
  • From Inspections detail, Create operations task when follow-up work is needed
  • For AP: link vendor, then Create bill with ap.manage — recording AP payment is not a disbursement payout
