How channel management works
Zyelra is the PMS source of truth. Channex is the channel sync layer to supported OTAs — not parallel direct Airbnb/Booking.com/Vrbo/Expedia connectors.
Architecture
Zyelra owns properties, units, rates, stays, and guests. Channex synchronizes inventory and reservations to OTAs that your agency has connected through Zyelra.
- Zyelra PMS (canonical business data)
- Channex (channel management and synchronization)
- Supported OTAs (Airbnb, Booking.com, and others when enabled)
What you can do in Zyelra
- Open Settings → Booking Channels to manage OTA connectivity through Channex.
- Map Zyelra properties/units to channel listings (Mappings).
- Review quarantine items when booking import needs attention.
- Use Channex conversations and reviews where the channel capability allows it.
- Keep short-term stays and calendars accurate in Zyelra — that remains the PMS of record.
Permissions
- View channels: channels.view (plus access to Settings).
- Connect, map, and sync: channels.manage and/or channels.sync as granted by your agency role.
- If Booking Channels is missing, ask an admin for channel permissions — not for direct OTA API keys.
What this is not
- Not a second PMS inside Channex — Zyelra stays canonical.
- Not iCal as a full OTA substitute (iCal is availability blocks only).
- Not universal messaging/reviews on every OTA — capabilities differ by channel.
- Expedia and Vrbo live Channex connectivity remain deferred / NEEDS VERIFICATION for production use — see each channel guide.
